VP Subsurface And Reserves at Woodside Energy

Ben Ziker has a solid work experience in the energy industry spanning over several years. Ben started their career at BP in 1998, where they held various roles in reservoir engineering, production operations, and other assignments until 2011.

After that, they joined BHP in 2011 and served as the Manager of Subsurface in the Fayetteville field until 2012. Ben then took on the role of Senior Manager of Development Planning for North America Shale until 2013, followed by the position of Senior Manager of Subsurface in the Eagle Ford field until 2015. From 2015 to 2019, Ben worked as the Operations Manager for the Haynesville and Fayetteville fields.

In 2019, Ben became the Head of Subsurface for BHP's Gulf of Mexico Production Unit. In this role, they led geoscience, reservoir, and production engineering teams and was responsible for long-term strategy development, development plans, and base production management from a portfolio of operated and non-operated deepwater assets. Ben held this position until 2021.

Most recently, Ben joined Woodside Energy in 2022 as the VP of Subsurface for International Operations.

Ben Ziker attended Rice University from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a BS degree in Chemical Engineering.
