Michael Faust

Michael Faust is an experienced exploration manager currently serving as the Exploration Manager for New Basins at Woodside Energy since June 2022. Prior to this role, Michael held various positions at BHP from March 2010 to June 2022, including Exploration Director, where oversight of all exploration activities in BHP's global petroleum exploration portfolio was a primary responsibility. Additional positions at BHP included Head of Caribbean Exploration and Exploration Manager for both the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico regions. Michael's career in the industry began at ConocoPhillips, where their role as a Geophysicist spanned from March 2004 to March 2010. Michael holds a Master’s degree in Geophysics from the University of Oklahoma and a B.S. in Geology from the University of Iowa.
