Jason Shaw

Jason Shaw, MBA, SPHR, HCS has over 25 years of experience in human resources and organizational development. Jason has held various leadership roles in a range of industries including construction, mining, energy, and education.

In their most recent role as Director of People & Culture at Woodside Homes, Jason led HR initiatives to support talent acquisition, employee development, and organizational design.

Before that, they served as an HR Director at PCL Construction and Schuff Steel, where they oversaw HR operations and partnered with senior leaders to develop business-aligned HR strategies.

Jason has also worked in the public sector, serving as an HR Business Partner at Pacific Gas and Electric Company and Arizona Public Service. In these roles, they provided strategic guidance on performance management, leadership development, and employee engagement.

Earlier in their career, Jason held positions in the US Navy, where they served as an HR Director and Organizational Development Training Manager. Jason was responsible for workforce planning, training program development, and global workforce transformation initiatives.

Jason is currently working as an Adjunct Faculty member at The University of Arizona Global Campus, where they share their expertise in HR and organizational development. Jason is also a member of the Forbes Human Resources Council, where they collaborate with other industry leaders to drive professional growth and impact in the business world.

Jason Shaw holds an MBA in Leadership from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Jason also obtained an MS in Human Resource Management from Florida Institute of Technology and a BS in Business Management from Liberty University. In addition to their degrees, they have several certifications, including Predictive Index Analyst from Predictive Index by RHSweeney Austin, Civil Treatment for Leaders Instructor Certified from ELI, Inc, HR Leadership Academy from CEB, Human Capital Strategist (HCS) from Human Capital Institute (HCI), Leadership Architect Certification from Korn Ferry, and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
