Lee Conner joined Woodward Academy in 2004 to manage the first consolidated IT Department, overseeing all aspects of technology for the school. As Vice President for Operations, he leads a team of more than three hundred employees in multiple areas, including facilities, technology, transportation, risk management, summer programs, dining, and support services. Prior to Woodward, he worked for commercial firms providing technology outsourcing services to both government and higher education. He retired at the rank of Major from the US Air Force Reserve, with a specialization in logistics planning.
Lee holds a Certificate of Advanced Educational Leadership from Harvard University, an MBA from Clemson University, and a BBA from Georgia State University with a concentration in Decision Sciences. He was also a member of the first Leadership Woodward class. Lee serves on the board of MISBO, an organization that provides support, products, and services for independent schools across the country. He also serves on the board of Horizons Atlanta, a summer learning program for disadvantaged students in which Woodward participates. Lee serves as an Accreditation Team Chair for the Southern Association of Independent Schools and has presented on the topics of technology and operations for the National Association of Independent Schools, the National Business Officers Association, MISBO, and the Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools.
