Robert Shook has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Robert began their career at Triumph Aerostructures - Vought Aircraft Division as a Manufacturing Technology Engineer, where they focused on advanced manufacturing engineering and process development for commercial and military aircraft programs. Robert then joined Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control as a Process Engineering Project Manager, where they directed projects to improve operational excellence and supply chain development. After that, they worked at Airstream as the Director of Quality and Director of Process Improvement, leading initiatives in lean manufacturing and quality assurance. Following their time at Airstream, Robert joined Collins Aerospace, where they served as the Operations Manager in the Aircraft Wheels Value Stream and later as the Senior Manager in Manufacturing Engineering. Currently, they are employed at Woodward, Inc. as the Director of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, first in the Fuel Systems division and currently in the Aerospace Business Segment. In this role, they oversee various engineering departments and projects, including automation, robotics, new product introduction, and technical training development. Overall, Robert Shook has held leadership positions, managed budgets and capital projects, and implemented process improvements throughout their career.
Robert Shook has a Master's Degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Technology from Purdue University and a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Technology from East Carolina University. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging as well as an Inclusive Mindset from LinkedIn, both in 2023.
