Palash Basak

Palash Basak, PhD, is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in geospatial technology, academia, and system engineering. Currently serving as a Digital Solutions Consultant at Woolpert, Palash specializes in deploying and supporting the ESRI and VertiGIS product suites, alongside providing product training and performing quality assurance. Alongside this role, Palash functions as a Functional Lead for the Australian System Assurance Company Pty Ltd and contributes to academia as a Lecturer at the University of Dhaka and an Assistant Professor at North South University. Previous positions include GIS Supervisor at Wingecarribee Shire Council and Business Improvement Consultant at Digital Engravers Ltd. Palash holds a PhD in Sustainable Resource Management from the University of Newcastle and multiple degrees in Geography, Environment, and Urban Planning from the University of Dhaka and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
