Salman Rashid has held various leadership roles throughout their career. Salman began their career as a Staff Scientist at Jetfill Inc before moving on to work as a Manager in Business Consulting at Arthur Andersen. Salman then joined Accenture as a Manager in Supply Chain Consulting.
In 2002, Rashid started their tenure at Dell Technologies, where they held multiple roles over the years. Salman served as the Mergers & Integration Lead for the Dell and EMC merger, the largest in the history of technology companies. Salman also served as the CFO of Dell Services - BPO, where they significantly improved profitability through cost reductions and margin-enhancing initiatives.
Rashid's experience also includes working as the CFO and Head of Pricing for the Middle East and Emerging Markets at Dell, where they managed a $500 million P&L and improved margin profiles through the introduction of trained pricing specialists and robust processes. Salman also advised regional GMs on pricing strategies.
Following their time at Dell, Rashid worked as the CFO and COO at Edgile, a cybersecurity consulting firm. During their tenure, the company was successfully sold to Wipro for $230 million.
Salman then joined Astreya as the CFO, where they focused on optimizing the opex structure and securing additional bank funding.
Prior to their current role at Woolpert as the Chief Financial Officer, Rashid served as the CFO of QuickStart Inc., an Austin-based startup focused on technical training content. Salman secured $5 million in VC funding and served on the company's leadership team.
Throughout their career, Rashid has demonstrated strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive profitability and operational excellence.
Salman Rashid pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. Salman attended the university from 1987 to 1991. After completing their undergraduate studies, they decided to further their education and enrolled in the University of Houston's C.T. Bauer College of Business. From 1994 to 1997, they successfully completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Business Administration.
