Pieter van der Merwe

Pieter van der Merwe is an experienced professional in the field of information security and risk management, currently serving as the Chief Security Officer and Chief Information Security Officer at Woolworths Group since May 2015. Pieter also holds the position of Non-Executive Director at Woolworths Team Bank since January 2022. Prior to these roles, Pieter was a Director at KPMG Australia, leading the Information Protection and IT GRC practice, and held positions at IBM as Risk and Compliance Manager, Manager of Technology Risk Assessment, and an Information Security Consultant at Dimension Data.
