Bayda Asbridge

Adult Tutor: Asian Brush Painting at WORCESTER ART MUSEUM

Bayda Asbridge is a Certified Medical Interpreter at UMass Memorial Medical Center since February 2014, having transitioned to a part-time benefited position from a previous independent contractor role. Bayda has also been teaching Asian Brush Painting and mixed media courses to adults at Worcester Art Museum since April 2010. Prior experience includes serving as an ESL Teacher at Hudson Adult Education from September 2013 to February 2014 and as an ESL tutor at Quinsigamond Community College from February 2007 to June 2013, contributing to a program funded by the Housing Authority and QCC to assist the GBV population. Bayda's career began in the UK at Grantham College, where ESL tutoring was provided to Chinese students from October 1999 to July 2004. Bayda holds a Master's degree in TESOL from Saint Michael's College (1994-1997) and completed PhD coursework in Applied Linguistics at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (1997-1998).
