Andrew Teixeira

Andrew Teixeira is an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute since January 2017, focusing on distributed chemical manufacturing and reaction engineering. Previously, Andrew served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, working on microfluidic packed bed reactors with applications in heterogeneous hydrogenation. Andrew obtained a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where research involved transport limitations in microporous materials and biomass fast pyrolysis. Prior to graduate studies, Andrew worked as an Engineer/Safety Officer at Ze-gen, Inc., contributing to safety plan development and implementation. Andrew holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
