Michael Timko

Michael Timko is an accomplished academic and researcher, currently serving as the interim Associate Dean of Research at Worcester Polytechnic Institute since 2013, where responsibilities include coordinating and advancing research efforts in the School of Engineering. Timko has held various faculty positions at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, progressing from Assistant Professor to Professor. Prior experience includes directing a supercritical water desulfurization research project at MIT, functioning as a Principal Engineer at Aerodyne Research Inc., and conducting post-doctoral research at Harvard University, focusing on molecular beam methods. Timko began the academic journey at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, earning a PhD in chemical engineering, following a Bachelor of Science degree in the same field from The Ohio State University.
