MaryJo Marion serves as the Associate Vice President for University and Community Engagement at Worcester State University since September 2020, where responsibilities include overseeing community-engagement strategies across multiple departments, including the Latino Education Institute and the Binienda Center for Civic Engagement. Prior to this role, MaryJo held the position of Executive Director at the Latino Education Institute from July 2007 to September 2015. Additional experience includes serving as Special Assistant to the President at MassBay from 2005 to 2007 and Associate Director at the UMass Boston Gaston Institute for Latino Research and Community Development from 1997 to 2005. MaryJo earned a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago in 1992 and a Bachelor’s degree in Government and Spanish from Suffolk University in 1987.
