Javier Starks

Javier Starks is an experienced site manager at Words Beats & Life, overseeing artistic programming in Washington DC public schools since June 2022. With a background in event production as a production assistant for RAW:natural born artists from March 2013 to January 2023, Javier has facilitated the success of various showcases. Previous roles include teaching Emceeing at Georgetown Day School and coaching aspiring writers as an Emcee Student Instructor and volunteer at Words Beats & Life. Additionally, Javier served as Lead Peer Support Worker at the Youth Development and Research Fund, facilitating youth activities and providing guidance at workshops. Education includes Montgomery College and Watkins Mill High School.
