Ryan Degon, MS, LAT, ATC, CEAS, CMMSS has a diverse work experience in the field of athletic training. Ryan worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga from July 2007 to July 2011, providing support for the student athletes. Following that, they served as the Head Athletic Trainer at St. Lawrence University from July 2011 to March 2012. Currently, Ryan is the Program Manager and Head Athletic Trainer at Work-Fit, LLC, a national leader in industrial/occupational healthcare solutions. In this role, they integrate injury prevention, injury management, and fitness/wellness services into client's Health and Safety and Medical Management procedures. Ryan also educates and coaches employees on safe work practices to prevent musculoskeletal injuries. Ryan'sexpertise and experience make him a valuable asset in the field of athletic training and injury prevention.
Ryan Degon, MS, LAT, ATC, CEAS, CMMSS completed their education in a chronological order. Ryan first attended Sports men and women careers from 2002 to 2004, where they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree with a focus on Math & Science w/Sports Medicine Emphasis. Afterward, they pursued their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Athletic Training at the State University of New York Cortland, which they completed from 2004 to 2006.
Ryan then furthered their education by earning a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where they attended from 2007 to 2009. Alongside their academic achievements, Ryan also obtained various certifications to enhance their expertise. In 2007, they became a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) through the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer. In 2010, they earned the Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization (ASTYM) certification from Performance Dynamics, Inc.
Continuing their professional development, Ryan obtained the Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS) certification from the Back School of Atlanta in 2014. In 2017, they pursued the Certified Medical Management Safety Specialist (CMMSS) certification through Prevention First, LLC. Most recently, in 2020, Ryan acquired two certifications from RockTape, namely the RockTape FMT Advanced and RockTape FMT Basic.
