Michael Tenison has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Michael started their career as an Emergency Physician at Kadlec Medical Center from July 2005 to June 2007. Michael then joined Providence Health & Services as an Emergency Physician from June 2007 to April 2014, where they also served as the CFO of the group in 2013 and held various committee memberships. After that, they worked at Concentra as a Center Medical Director from March 2014 to September 2014, before taking on the role of Area Medical Director from September 2014 to August 2015, and then Director of Medical Operations from August 2015 to December 2016. Michael returned to Providence Health & Services as a Clinic Medical Director for Urgent Care from January 2017 to August 2017. Most recently, they have been Vice President of Medical Operations at Work Health Solutions since April 2023. Throughout their career, their responsibilities have included overseeing medical operations, building quality teams, implementing policies and protocols, and focusing on clinical quality and patient experience.
Michael Tenison earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychobiology from Pitzer College in 1993. Michael then went on to attend Health and Science jobs, where they obtained a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from 1996 to 1998. Continuing their education at the same institution, Michael completed their medical training and received a Doctor of Medicine degree in Medicine from 1998 to 2002.
