Jenny Nellis has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles in the design industry. Starting in 2007, they worked as an Art+Design Lab Tech at Columbia College Chicago. In 2010, they became the Creative Director at The Onion, where they managed the graphics department and oversaw all aspects of production for print and video content. In 2011, they briefly worked as a Digital Artist at Onion News Network. From 2013 to 2017, Jenny served as a Senior Graphic and Motion Designer at The Daily Show with Jon Stewart / Trevor Noah, playing a vital role in designing and animating graphics for the show, while also implementing brand guidelines. In 2017, they worked as a Freelance Motion Graphics Designer before becoming the Head of Design at Thud, a satirical comedy company where they collaborated directly with Elon Musk. At Thud, they built the design department from scratch and supervised production across various projects. Following their time at Thud, Jenny worked at Comedy Central as a Senior Designer, conceptualizing and creating digital content and branding for different shows. Most recently, in 2020, they became the Creative Lead at MSA before transitioning to their current role as a Senior Web Designer at Workato in 2022. Throughout their career, Jenny has consistently demonstrated their expertise in design and animation, as well as their ability to work under pressure and raise the creative standards of the organizations they have been a part of.
Jenny Nellis attended Columbia College Chicago from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Commercial and Advertising Art.
