Saumil Shah

Saumil Shah serves as Vice President of AI Engineering at Workday, leading efforts to transform business operations through Enterprise AI. Since joining Workday in April 2016, Saumil has held various leadership roles, including Senior Director and Director of Engineering for Machine Learning, where responsibilities have included developing core AI systems, building an enterprise-grade Machine Learning Platform, and enhancing data privacy through de-identification services. Before Workday, Saumil contributed to Synopsys Inc. as a Principal Software Engineer, where significant optimizations across flagship products were achieved. Saumil's career began at Magma Design Automation and Blaze DFM Inc., specializing in CAD software and processor power optimization. Saumil holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
