Gillian McCann

Gillian McCann has been in the technology industry since 2007 when they started working at Liberty IT as a Cloud Architect, Technologist, and Principal Software Engineer. In 2017, they joined Workgrid Software as the Chief Technology Officer and also serves as an industry speaker and author. Gillian speaks at global events and participates in articles and webinars on topics such as AWS Serverless Architectures, the role of technology in improving the employee experience, conversational AI, machine learning in AWS, and NLP & Search.

Gillian McCann has a Master of Science (MSc) in Information Technology from Queen's University Belfast, which they obtained in 1999. Gillian also has a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Queen's University Belfast, which they obtained in 1997. Additionally, they have obtained four certifications: AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services in April 2016, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate from Amazon Web Services in April 2016, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in March 2016, and Introduction to R from DataCamp.
