Scott Loomis

Scott Loomis has had an extensive and diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Scott started their career at General Motors in 1986, where they held several managerial positions in quality control and operations until 2019. During their time at GM, Loomis was responsible for managing global manufacturing, quality systems, and operational excellence initiatives.

In 2019, Loomis joined Hitachi Astemo as the Director of Global Quality Systems, where they focused on implementing a quality operating system across all global facilities. Scott also worked on reducing waste, improving efficiency, and enhancing customer satisfaction through cost reduction initiatives.

After leaving Hitachi Astemo, Loomis served as the Director of Operations and Plant Director at AriensCo in 2021, where they oversaw plant operations and directed overall operational strategies.

Currently, Loomis holds the position of Vice President of Quality and Aftersales Support at Workhorse, a carbon-free product development and manufacturing organization. In this role, they are responsible for developing and leading high-performing functions of quality, data analytics, and product validation, among others. Their objective is to integrate built-in quality processes within the entire value stream to ensure flawless launches of innovative customer products.

Scott Loomis, MSLM, MBA, DFSS-BB has a Master's degree in Lean Manufacturing Operations from Kettering University. Scott also holds an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology, with a focus on Masters of Business Administration. Scott further obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Prior to this, they earned an Associate's degree in Automotive Technology from Lansing Community College. Additionally, Scott has a certificate in Six Sigma Green Belt from Villanova University.
