Oscar Lopez Martinez

Oscar Lopez Martinez has extensive experience in data engineering and business intelligence. Oscar is currently working as a Senior Data Engineer at Workhuman, where they specialize in AWS. Prior to this, they worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch for six years, serving as a VP Programmer in both credit risk and market risk. In these roles, they developed ETL and data quality frameworks, conducted performance reviews on Spark jobs and Hive queries, and developed various libraries using Scala, Spark, Python, PySpark, Hive, Kafka, Neo4j, ArangoDB, and others. Oscar also has experience as a Business Intelligence Product Manager at EUCLIDESBINDAR, where they managed projects and fulfilled user needs by analyzing, designing, and developing data warehouses and data marts. Oscar also worked as a Project Manager at Paradigma Tecnologico, where they designed and built a management solution for USG People Spain.

Earlier in their career, Oscar served as a Technical Developer Manager at Ayuntamiento de Alcobendas and as a BI Senior and Junior Consultant at BGS online.

Oscar Lopez Martinez obtained a graduate degree in Physics from Universidad de Granada between 1994 and 1999.
