Yong Zhang

Yong Zhang has over 20 years of experience in various software engineering and analytics roles. Yong is currently employed at Workhuman as the Senior Director of Analytics Architect. Previously, from 2017 to 2021, they worked at the Endurance International Group/Constant Contact, where they held the position of Senior Director of BigData platform. In this role, they were responsible for building and enhancing the big data platforms for both Endurance and Constant Contact, leading the enterprise big data teams and providing mentorship.

Prior to that, Yong Zhang worked at Constant Contact from 2013 to 2017, first as a BigData Architect and later as a Principal Data Engineer. Yong played a key role in building a world-class enterprise data platform and led the implementation of data integration projects.

Before their time at Constant Contact, Yong Zhang worked at Nokia as a Principal Data/Software Engineer from 2007 to 2013. Yong led the implementation of ETL processes on the Hadoop eco-system and was responsible for storing and analyzing large amounts of data.

Yong Zhang's earlier experience includes working as a Principal Consultant at Edocs/Oracle, where they designed and implemented ETL processes for a self-service analytics product. Yong also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Open Channel Solutions, where they contributed to the design and development of a license management system. Additionally, they were a Software Engineer at Revenio, where they participated in the development of an e-market solution.

Yong Zhang began their career as a Software Engineer at Kronos, where they contributed to the development of a web-based time data collection solution. Throughout their career, they have gained expertise in big data platforms, ETL processes, and software development.

Yong Zhang obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in International Finance from Huazhong University of Science and Technology from 1992 to 1996. Later, from 1996 to 1999, Zhang pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
