Daphne Robinson

Daphne Robinson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Daphne is currently the Director of Teacher Programs at Working in the Schools (WITS) since 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Interim Secretary at Berean Baptist Church in 2009. Daphne also has experience in freelance graphic design since 2000. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as the Program and Development Administrative Manager at WITS, where they were responsible for various tasks such as Salesforce administration, communication with applicants and awardees, managing the lending library, and coordinating book orders. Before joining WITS, Daphne worked at Boundless Readers as a Development Administrator and later as a Program Manager from 2011 to 2015. Daphne also served as a Field Operations Supervisor at the US Census Bureau in 2010. Prior to that, they worked at UrbanFrugal.com as a writer from 2007 to 2010, where they wrote articles on money-saving tips and promoted the website. Daphne started their career in education, working as an educator at Chicago Public Schools from 2004 to 2007. Daphne also gained editorial experience as the Editor-in-Chief at Central Newspaper Reps. from 1993 to 2004.

Daphne Robinson pursued their education in a chronological manner. Daphne first attended Morgan Park High School from 1983 to 1987, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Following this, they enrolled at Loyola University Chicago from 1987 to 1991 and earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a focus on Italian and Theology. Afterward, they joined Roosevelt University from 1991 to 1993, where they pursued a Master's degree in Journalism (MSJ). Finally, they returned to Roosevelt University from 2002 to 2004 and completed a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree with a specialization in Education.
