James Wehrle has a significant amount of experience in the publishing industry. James started their career at St. Martin's Press, where they worked as a Field Sales Representative from 1993 to 1996, covering a territory from Baltimore to Chattanooga. James then became a National Account Manager at St. Martin's Press, responsible for selling their titles to Barnes & Noble, Inc. and Baker & Taylor from 1996 to 2000.

In 2000, James joined Workman Publishing as the Director of Sales, National Accounts. In this role, they managed the sales and merchandising of various publishing titles to multiple major companies, including Barnes & Noble, Borders Group, Books-A-Million, Calendar Club, B&N.com, and B&N College, as well as Ingram Content Group.

After serving in this position for 17 years, they were promoted to Director of Sales Analytics at Workman Publishing in 2015. Finally, in 2017, they became the Executive Sales Director at Workman Publishing, a role that they still hold.

James Wehrle earned a Bachelor's degree in History and English Literature from the University of Colorado Boulder from 1986 to 1989. In addition, they also pursued a Bachelor's degree in American Studies from the University of East Anglia from 1987 to 1988.
