Katrina Tahi Tahi has over 25 years of experience in health and safety, primarily with WorkSafe New Zealand since June 2010. Katrina's roles include serving as a Community Advisor (Kaiarawhiti o Te Pou Ora) and contributing to the Customer Operations Servicing team during its inception in 2013, where duties as a Triage inspector and Team Leader Inspectors were performed. Additionally, Katrina was part of a Change Programme team focused on the establishment of the WorkSafe Response Centre, which aimed to implement changes following the Pike River Royal Commission's recommendations, specifically regarding the design of the National Response Team. Prior to this, Katrina worked as an Assessment Manager and Health and Safety Inspector at the Department of Labour from August 1998 to June 2010.
