Vera Damanka

Vera Damanka is an experienced workforce development professional with a background in career coaching, talent acquisition, and client services. Currently serving as a Career Coach at WorkSource Montgomery, Vera supports middle and high school students in identifying their strengths and translating academic studies into career opportunities. Previously, as Workforce Development Manager at Thrive DC, responsibilities included developing workforce programs for individuals experiencing homelessness, creating employment readiness curricula, and providing consulting services. Additional experience includes serving as Workforce Development Specialist at Cornerstones, Talent Acquisition Manager at Easterseals DC MD VA, and various roles at organizations including DC Health Link and Children's National Health System. Vera holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from St. Mary's College of Maryland.
