Muhamet Bamba Fall

Director for Infrastructure, MAS & Trade Operations at World Bank

Muhamet Bamba Fall​ is Director for Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Agribusiness, Services (MAS) and Trade Operations of the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), the political risk insurance and credit enhancement arm of the World Bank Group. In addition to overseeing global business origination, strategy development, and client coverage for the Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Agribusiness, Services (MAS) & Trade Operations, he is also responsible for managing MIGA Operations' Global Structuring & Transition Team, providing early-stage structuring assistance to staff and leading the Portfolio oversight function.

Previously, Mr. Fall led MIGA’s Asia Hub, overseeing business development and client service in Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing, Seoul, and Tokyo. Prior to that, Mr. Fall served as Senior Underwriter on MIGA’s infrastructure sector team (water and transport) and as Investment Promotion Officer, where he worked closely with investment promotion agencies and government institutions to encourage activity in emerging markets.

Before joining MIGA, Mr. Fall was Division Head for Medium and Long Term Credit and Project Risks Underwriting with the insurance affiliate of the Islamic Development Bank Group. His background also includes work in management and development consulting.

Mr. Fall holds a master’s of international business and finance from Columbia University.
