Rahel Alemu Workneh

Rahel Alemu Workneh is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in monitoring and evaluation, development, and project management. Currently serving as a Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist at The World Bank since December 2019, Rahel has previously held key positions at Oxfam as a Value Chain Manager for the BEELIEVE Project and at Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture (CNFA) as a Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor. Additional experience includes roles as an Innovation Service Manager at the UNDP Entrepreneurship Development Program, Senior Technical Expert at the Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Agency, and various positions at COOPI and SNV focused on project coordination and capacity building. Rahel holds a Master of Arts in Development and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Addis Ababa University, alongside multiple certificates in evaluation and sustainable development from prestigious institutions including Wageningen University & Research and the University of Bern.
