As Commissioner at the Chicago Department of Planning and Development, David Reifman was responsible for large-scale, complex development and infrastructure projects from conception to approvals to realization. David managed 250 people in Housing, Economic Development, Planning, Zoning, Real Estate and Landmarks Bureaus to foster city-wide community improvement projects.

At DLA Piper, David Reifman had a 27-year career focusing on commercial, residential, and industrial development; land use planning; complex transactions; special taxing districts; public/private partnerships including tax increment financing; property evaluations; contract negotiations; and historic preservation.

David Reifman received their Juris Doctor from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. David also holds a Master of Arts from the [University of Illinois System, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from the same institution.
