Michael O'Grady

Michael O'Grady is currently a Board Member at World Business Chicago. Prior to that, they were the Manager of Clearing Operations/Settlements at optionsXpress/Charles SCHWAB from October 2012 to March 2018. Michael has over 27 years of experience in the Broker/Dealer industry. Michael started their career at Wachovia/First Clearing Corp in April 1991 and worked their way up to become the Broker/Dealer. In this role, they were responsible for approving all aspects of back office operations as an introducing Broker Dealer. This included tasks such as check disbursements and deposits, DWAC and DRS Transfers, money and position journals, all IRA adjustments, wire transfers and new account updates. Michael was also the Operations liaison between Registered Reps, Sales Assistants and Traders and our Clearing Firm; in all areas of back office Operations.

In 2003, when Howe Barnes Investments converted from a Self Clearing firm to an introducing Firm, Michael reconcile Position and Money differences. Michael also supervised a department of five in the following areas: ACATS, Mutual Fund Trading, Networking and Transfers, DTC and Fed Settlements, daily Deficit Report, OCC, DTC and NSCC reconciliation, Trade Input, Security master set-up and pricing and Purchase and Sales. Furthermore, they established and documented job procedures, monitored and supervised Firm's monthly equity option expiration, calculated the weekly 15c

Michael O'Grady has a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Norbert College and a degree from Northeastern Illinois University.
