George Hu

George (Wei-Jie) Hu is an experienced professional in environmental and media sectors, currently serving as Regional Representative for the World Climate Foundation since September 2018 and as Chief Executive Officer of Verdancy 嘉基國際 since December 2014. Hu has a rich background as an Independent TV professional, producing and directing over 3,000 hours of broadcast television. Previous roles include Marketing Director at the Taiwan Green Trade Project Office, Director at the Cancer Care Foundation, and CSR Director at 東映製作 Green Media. Hu holds a doctorate in Forestry and Resource Conservation from National Taiwan University and a Master’s degree in TV-Film from California State University, Fullerton. Notable publications include works on health and green trade principals.
