Ben Cushman

Ben Cushman is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in nonprofit governance and organizational development. Currently serving as Chair of the Board of Directors at Building Markets since July 2019, Cushman plays a pivotal role in connecting local entrepreneurs to opportunities in crisis-affected regions. Additionally, Cushman is a member of several boards, including Germantown Friends School, the International Rescue Committee’s Airbel R&D division, and World Connect, Inc., providing strategic oversight and growth strategy consultation. In previous roles, Cushman chaired boards and committees for organizations such as 10,000 Degrees and Sonoma Academy, contributing to educational equity and enhancing institutional governance. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts from Hampshire College and early schooling at Germantown Friends School and Wethersfield High School.
