Antonio Lo Parco

Antonio Lo Parco has a diverse background in customs and taxation, with extensive experience in various roles. Starting in 1992, they worked as a Senior Operations Officer at the Italian Revenue Agency. Antonio then held the position of Head of a Revenue Office and later became a member of the Emilia-Romagna Regional Director Staff. In 2004, they joined the Italian Customs and Monopolies Agency as a Senior Official, focusing on import-export customs procedures and anti-fraud efforts. In 2007, they served as a Senior Trainer for the Italian Customs Agency. From 2008 to 2010, Antonio worked as a Resident Twinning Adviser for the Undersecretary of Customs in the Ministry of Finance. Antonio continued their work as a Resident Twinning Adviser for the Georgia Revenue Service from 2011 to 2013. From 2013 to 2017, they were a Trade Affairs Manager and Attaché at the Delegation of the European Union to Georgia, responsible for promoting trade and economic relations. Antonio also played a key role in supporting the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan as a Resident Twinning Adviser from 2020 to 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Head of the Regional Office for Capacity Building (ROCB) of the World Customs Organization (WCO) - Europe Region in Baku, where they focus on modernizing customs services and implementing global standards.

Antonio Lo Parco's education history includes a post-graduate specialization course in European Community law at Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna, completed from 1992 to 1993. In 1997, they attended the Ministry of Justice in Italy to become a Public Auditor. Additionally, they obtained a degree in Economics from Università di Bari, although the specific dates for this degree are not provided.
