Abir Ibrahim is an experienced professional in the fields of international development and public health, currently serving as the Associate Director of Government Affairs for Africa at the World Economic Forum since May 2022. Previously, Abir held multiple roles at UNICEF from 2019 to 2022, including Private Sector Partnerships Portfolio Manager and participation in the Tigray Refugee Crisis Taskforce. As the founder of Inua Naturals, a social venture established in 2015, Abir focused on empowering vulnerable women farmers and artisans through agribusiness and innovation. Additional experience includes serving as Special Advisor to the District Commissioner for Rural Women Economic Empowerment, Community Manager for UNICEF USA in the Mid-Atlantic Region, and Advisor for Health and Economic Development at the Peace Corps. Abir's educational background includes a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Economics from the University of New England, a B.A. in International Development, African Affairs, and Public Policy from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Mary Washington.
