Andreas Schmitt

Andreas Schmitt is an accomplished professional in the insurance and cybersecurity sectors, currently serving as a Member of the Global Future Council on the Future of Cybersecurity at the World Economic Forum since March 2023 and as Global Cyber Underwriting Manager at Zurich Insurance since September 2022. Previously, Schmitt held significant roles at Munich Re from January 2010 to August 2022, including Senior Executive Advisor and Head of Cyber for Asia, where expertise was applied in leading teams and developing cyber underwriting strategies across multiple regions. Additional experience includes positions at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty as Senior Underwriter for Large Corporate Liability programs and at Versicherungskammer Bayern in various underwriting roles. Education includes a degree in Insurance from Deutsche Versicherungsakademie.
