Anne Christianson

Anne Christianson, PhD, serves as the Director for International Climate Policy at the Center for American Progress since August 2021, focusing on advancing U.S. climate policy. Previously, Christianson worked at The Pew Charitable Trusts, leading international climate change campaigns and developing marine protected area proposals from September 2018 to July 2021. Academic achievements include a PhD in Natural Resources Science and Management from the University of Minnesota, with a dissertation on ecosystem-based adaptation, alongside a Master of Science from the University of Oxford. Experience also includes roles such as Government Relations Manager at Ocean Conservancy and various positions within the U.S. House of Representatives and The White House, emphasizing expertise in natural resource management and environmental policy.
