Annika C. Green, PhD has a diverse and extensive work experience. Annika C. currently holds multiple roles at the World Economic Forum, including Climate and Health Lead in the Centre for Nature and Climate, where they focus on climate-related health issues. Annika C. also served as the National Platforms and Climate Lead in the Circular Economy team, managing national platforms for the Global Plastic Action Partnership and being the main point of contact for climate topics. Prior to joining the World Economic Forum, Annika worked at the World Health Organization as a Project Officer for Climate Change and Health, contributing to the organization's efforts in addressing the impacts of climate change on public health. Annika C. also worked as an Editorial Associate at the International AIDS Society and as a Project Manager for Public Health Policy Monitoring and Evaluation at the International Tobacco Control Policy Evaluation Project. Additionally, Annika served as a Consultant for the Prevention of Noncommunicable Diseases at the World Health Organization. Annika C. started their professional career with a Field Research Internship at UNICEF, where they focused on maternal and child nutrition.

Annika C. Green, PhD, has an extensive education history. Annika C. first attended Queen's University from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences. During that same period, they also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physical and Health Education.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Annika pursued a Master's of Public Health (MPH) degree at Simon Fraser University from 2010 to 2012, with a specialization in Global Health.

In 2012, Annika enrolled at the University of Waterloo, where they dedicated the next five years of their academic journey. During this time, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree, focusing on Public Policy Evaluation and Social Psychology.

In addition to their formal education, Annika C. Green has also obtained certifications in project management. In March 2021, they obtained the PRINCE2® Foundation Certificate in Project Management and the PRINCE2® Practitioner Certificate in Project Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice.
