Daniel Nowack has a diverse range of work experience in the social entrepreneurship and business sectors. Daniel has held various positions in different organizations, starting in 2011 at redpeppix. GmbH where they worked as both a Business Development Manager and Chief Financial Officer. In 2013, they became the Executive Director Balkans at Yunus Social Business, and later served as the Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer and a Board Member at the same organization. During this time, they focused on using business to solve social and environmental problems, working on projects such as a plastic recycling plant in India and an accelerator program for transport and logistics solutions in Africa, Brazil, and Europe. In 2016, they also served as a Finance & Business Model Mentor at Google. Daniel became involved with the World Economic Forum, serving as the Co-Initiator and Head of the Global Alliance for Social Entrepreneurship. Additionally, they co-initiated a global social intrapreneurship program at Unusual Pioneers, where they were also a Senior Partner at Lumen Partners. Daniel also served as a Partner at heimathafen Wiesbaden, an Advisory Board Member at makesense, the Accelerator Lead & Co-Initiator at the MAN Impact Accelerator, and the Head of W1 Forward InsurTech Accelerator at WERK1. Overall, their work experiences have revolved around social entrepreneurship, business development, finance, and mentorship.

Daniel Nowack obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Business Administration from The Open University in 2008. Prior to that, they attended Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) from 2005 to 2008, where they earned a Diplom in Finance and Marketing. In 2007 and 2008, they studied International Business Administration at the University of South Wales, graduating with a Bachelor (Hons) degree. In 2020, they attended the University of Cambridge for a short course on Circular Economy & Sustainability. Currently, they are pursuing an Executive MBA in Finance and Financial Management Services at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, which they started in 2021 and is expected to complete in 2023.
