Derek Baraldi has significant work experience in the finance and banking industry. Derek currently serves as the Head of Sustainable Finance and Investing at the World Economic Forum, where they lead initiatives to mobilize capital for the implementation of net zero operations in difficult-to-abate industries. Derek also manages the Banking Industry community, facilitating collaboration between financial institutions and other stakeholders to address global issues. Prior to this, Baraldi worked at UBS AG for over 18 years in various roles, including Head of Americas - Corporate and Institutional Clients and Head of Americas - Relationship Management Bank for Banks. In these positions, they led teams, developed key relationships, and coordinated product specialists to meet client needs. Their expertise also extends to risk control and finance.
Derek Baraldi attended HEC Lausanne - The Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Lausanne from 1995 to 2000. During this time, they obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management, with a focus on General studies. Additionally, they pursued a Master of Science in Management and Bachelor of Science in Management and Finance, which they completed from 1995 to 1999.
