Felipe Carazo has a diverse range of work experience. Felipe is currently the Head of Public Sector Engagement - Tropical Forest Alliance at the World Economic Forum since May 2020. Prior to this, they served as a Commissioner at the Amistad Pacific Conservation Area, Ministry of Environment starting in September 2012. Felipe also worked as a Strategy Advisor at SAILCARGO INC. from May 2016 to September 2020. Additionally, Felipe held the position of President at Mar a Mar Association from January 2016 to September 2020, where they focused on developing a hiking route and promoting rural tourism in Costa Rica. Felipe served as President at Arboles Magicos Foundation from September 2012 to September 2020, aiming to build a connection between people and nature through appreciation of trees. Felipe has also worked as a Partner at Progresum from February 2019 to May 2020, where they provided strategic advice on generating sustainability. Felipe served as a Senior International Advisor at Quantum Leap from June 2019 to April 2020, focusing on sustainable capital markets and development programs. Additionally, Felipe worked as a Senior Research and Programme Advisor on South-South Cooperation at UNDP from June 2019 to April 2020. Felipe was an International Advisor and later the Executive Director at FUNDECOR from June 2012 to September 2019, contributing to sustainable development and responsible resource management in Costa Rica. Felipe started their career at The Nature Conservancy, where they served as a Program Manager from October 2002 to October 2012. Overall, Felipe Carazo has extensive experience in various sectors, including environmental conservation, sustainable development, and public sector engagement.

Felipe Carazo obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Costa Rica from 1994 to 1998. Felipe then pursued a Master's degree in Environmental Management with a focus on Resource Economics and Policy at Duke University from 1999 to 2001.
