Maroun Kairouz

Maroun Kairouz is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in economic policy, humanitarian assistance, and supply chain management. Currently serving as the Director for the Middle East and North Africa at the World Economic Forum since February 2017, Maroun also held the positions of Deputy Director for Europe and Eurasia and Chief of Staff to the President within the same organization. Prior to this, Maroun managed the Syria Partnership Program at Oxfam, facilitating support for Syrian NGOs and emphasizing gender issues. Educational credentials include an Executive Masters in Global Leadership from the World Economic Forum, a Master's in Economics of International Trade & European Integration from Staffordshire University, and a Bachelor's in Economics from USJ, complemented by a year of study in International Economics at the University of Bonn. Additional roles include Lecturer at Notre Dame University - Louaize, Economist at Banque du Liban, Economics & Statistics Consultant at Lebanese for Economy and Development, and Supply Network Operations Manager at Procter & Gamble.
