Ruchira Sawant

Ruchira Sawant is an experienced professional currently serving as the Director at MakeShift since August 2019, where initiatives focus on designing learning programs to foster creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. As a Co-Founder of MakeShift, Ruchira collaborates with a dedicated team to democratize innovation and transform education in India through research and Design Thinking. Ruchira also holds the role of Course Director for Education Initiatives at the R K Laxman Museum and curates projects for the World Economic Forum's Global Shapers Community. Additional roles include Host and Curator at Laxman Legacy, Co-Conceptualizer and Host for Space Handshake, and a freelance writer contributing to various publications on science and space topics. Active as an Independent Educator since 2013, Ruchira emphasizes design thinking and innovation in education, with previous experience as a Guest Author for Loksatta and project management for the initiative "Dream On, India."
