Sébastien Daniel

Sébastien Daniel has a diverse work experience spanning a range of roles and industries. Sébastien began their career as an Intern in the Export department of Lumi Legend in 2005, followed by a Trainee position in the Internal audit department at Antalis in 2006. In 2007, they worked as a Financial Planning and Analysis Intern at Prologis in Amsterdam.

In 2009, Sébastien joined HSBC as a Sales & Sales Trading cash equity Intern. Sébastien then moved to Lloyds Banking Group, where they worked as an Equity Capital Market & M&A Analyst from 2009 to 2011, and later as a Credit Sales Associate from 2011 to 2012.

In 2012, Sébastien joined the World Economic Forum (WEF) as a Senior Research Analyst in the Business Strategy & Performance division. Sébastien subsequently held various leadership positions at WEF, including Global Leadership Fellow in the CFO Office, Strategic Planning & Performance from 2014 to 2016, and Head of Performance Reporting from 2016 to 2018. From 2018 to the present, Sébastien has been serving as the Head of Data & Analytics at WEF, and as of April 2021, they took on the role of Head of Investments & Analytics.

Alongside their work at WEF, Sébastien has also been a Member of the Board and Head of the Investment Committee at Fondation de prévoyance du World Economic Forum since January 2018.

Sébastien Daniel pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with their completion of the ESSEC Global BBA program at ESSEC Business School from 2004 to 2008. Sébastien then went on to earn a Specialized Master's degree in Finance from ESCP Business School in 2008-2009. Later, from 2015 to 2018, Sébastien undertook the Global Leadership Fellows Program, which included studying at various renowned institutions such as INSEAD, London Business School (LBS), Wharton, Columbia, CEIBS, and THNK. This program led to the completion of their Master's degree in Advanced Global Leadership.
