- Lead, Climate Tech Innovation, Industry Decarbonization at the World Economic Forum from 2020 to present. In this role, they lead global innovation challenges to accelerate the development of green technologies for hard-to-abate sectors. Tim van den Bergh has a diverse education history. Tim started their education at Winford College, a private pre-university education institution, where they obtained their high school degree in Atheneum with a focus on Culture and Society, along with Physics and Mathematics. This took place from 2006 to 2012.
After completing high school, Tim pursued their Bachelor's degree at the University of Amsterdam, majoring in Political Science with a specific focus on International Relations. This program lasted from 2013 to 2017. Additionally, during their time at the University of Amsterdam, Tim completed a minor program at the Amsterdam Business School in Transition Minor Business Administration, which they finished in 2017.
Continuing their education, Tim attended Stellenbosch University in 2016 for an exchange semester, where they explored the subjects of Sociology and Entrepreneurship. Tim then returned to the Netherlands to further their studies at Copenhagen Business School.
At Copenhagen Business School, Tim pursued a Master's degree in Organizational Innovation & Entrepreneurship, starting in 2017 and completing the program in 2019. During this time, they also specialized in Big Data Analytics by completing a minor program in that field.
In addition to their academic pursuits, Tim obtained certifications outside of their formal education. Tim participated in the United Nations Public Speaking Programme in 2013, organized by the United Nations. Tim also obtained a certification in Mandarin from the Confucius Institute Rotterdam in 2012.
