Pipeline Integrity Engineer at World Energy

Matt Kargar has extensive work experience in various engineering roles. Matt began their career as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at IKCO Group in 2003, where they designed and built a device to prevent engine oil leakage and improved production. Matt also improved the safety and efficiency of connectors between assembly line conveyors.

In 2008, Matt worked as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at CoxGomyl, where they designed a building maintenance system and created a new stopper system for cradles, reducing production costs.

From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Mechanical Piping/Pipeline Engineer at Ghods Niroo Engineering Co, where they worked on multiple oil and gas projects, including the construction of reservoirs and gas pipelines.

In 2011, Matt returned to IQA Solutions Inc as a Senior Piping/Pipeline Engineer, where they worked on projects such as the installation of a new jet draw and an oil transfer pump capacity increase.

From 2017 to 2019, they worked at SoCalGas as a Senior Designer, reviewing designs and construction drawings for mechanical, piping, and process disciplines.

In 2020, Matt joined IQA Solutions Inc again, this time as a Senior Engineer, focusing on material selection, quality assurance, and renewable fuel and wastewater treatment plant design.

Currently, they are working at World Energy, LLC as a Pipeline Integrity Engineer, responsible for manpower estimates, project planning, scheduling, and material estimates for pipeline projects. Matt also reviews contractor proposals and hydrostatic tests for pipeline segments and replacements.

Matt Kargar has a comprehensive education history with a focus on project management and mechanical engineering. Matt obtained a Project Management Certification from Caltech in the year 2017-2018. Prior to that, Matt attended the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) in New Delhi from 2005 to 2006, where they studied Lean Six Sigma. Matt pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc) in Mechanical Engineering from IHU between 2000 and 2003. Matt's education began at Azad University (IAU), where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Mechanical Engineering from 1994 to 2000.
