John Girgis

John Girgis is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the energy sector and international advocacy. Currently serving as the Permanent Representative of the World Evangelical Alliance to the UN-NY since October 2020, John Girgis utilizes international experience to advocate for marginalized voices. As the Founder and CEO of GeoPetra Resources LLC since January 2004, John Girgis provides holistic consulting services to international entities. Previous leadership roles include President of GeoPetra Split River Energy from May 2011 to May 2018, and Managing Partner of GeoPetra Energy, LLC from April 2005 to May 2011. John Girgis also held positions in exploration management at Nearburg Producing, Repsol YPF Maxus USA, and Maxus / YPF. Educational qualifications include an Advanced Management Program from The Wharton School and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Illinois Chicago.
