Catherine Swoboda

Catherine Swoboda serves as the Director of Planning at The World Food Prize Foundation since September 2011, managing the Borlaug Dialogue International Symposium, a key global event addressing food security and nutrition, which gathers over 1,400 participants from more than 65 countries. Previously, Catherine held the position of Director of Iowa and Midwest Education Programs, where a partnership with Iowa State University and the State of Iowa led to the establishment of the Iowa Youth Institute, focusing on STEM education and global awareness among high school students. Additional experience includes a Wallace Carver Fellowship at USDA-ARS, a Science Policy Internship at the American Society of Agronomy, and research roles at Iowa State University, Universidad de Costa Rica, and Embrapa. Catherine holds a Master of Science in Crop Production and Physiology and a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy from Iowa State University.
