Katharine Emerson

Katharine Emerson has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and organizations. Katharine is currently serving as the Chief of Staff to the President & CEO at World Food Program USA since September 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Bayer as the Director of Political Affairs from December 2019 to September 2021. From November 2017 to November 2019, they held the position of Director of Public Policy & Political Strategy at the National Corn Growers Association. In their earlier roles, they served as the Director of Strategic Partnerships at World Food Program USA from December 2016 to October 2017, and as the Manager of Government Affairs at Monsanto Company from March 2009 to December 2016. Katharine also worked as the Manager of Events & Partnerships at Wind Rose from July 2008 to February 2009, and as the Senior Director of Business Development at the American Heart Association from October 2005 to March 2008. Additionally, Katharine has experience working as an Assistant to Vice President of Public Policy at the Teacher Advancement Program Foundation from January 2005 to July 2005, as the Director at Ekern & Company from June 2004 to January 2005, and as an intern at the World Food Programme from June 2003 to August 2003.

Katharine Emerson attended Washington and Lee University from 2000 to 2004, where they pursued a degree in Politics with a focus on Literature and Sociology.
