World Food Programme
Amer Badawi has over three decades of diverse experience in the maritime and supply chain sectors, currently serving as the Deputy Chief and Head of Charters and Operations in the Supply Chain Division of the World Food Programme since September 2017. In addition, Amer Badawi has been a Special List Grain Arbitrator for the North American Export Grain Association since 2005, chairing tribunals for commercial arbitration in New York, and actively participating as a board member and Vice Chair of the Contract Committee. Previous roles include membership on the Management Council of the International Grain Trade Coalition, Vice President of Export & Ocean Transport Operations at Columbia Grain, and Commissioner on the State of Oregon's Board of Maritime Pilots. Amer Badawi has held various leadership positions, including President of the Board of Directors for both the Merchants Exchange of Portland and the Maritime Fire and Safety Association. Educational credentials include an Executive Leadership Programme from the University of Oxford and graduate studies in Ocean Transportation Management from the State University of New York Maritime College.
