Berhanu Ayalew

Berhanu Ayalew is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in program management and policy development, primarily focused on resilience, livelihoods, and economic recovery. Since July 2019, Berhanu has served as a Program Policy Officer at the World Food Programme, overseeing climate change adaptation and building resilience in the Amhara Region. Prior roles include managing various programs at Save the Children International, centered on economic empowerment, education, and child protection, and leading resource mobilization efforts at NAP+. Berhanu's educational background encompasses a Bachelor's degree in Economics, a Master's degree in Development Economics Policy Analysis, and ongoing PhD studies at the University of Gondar, complemented by a certification in Econometrics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
