Bernhard Kowatsch

Bernhard Kowatsch serves as the Head of Innovation Accelerator at the United Nations World Food Programme since August 2015, where accomplishments include creating the world's largest social impact startup accelerator, impacting 61 million people globally in 2023 and securing $295 million in grants for innovations. Previously, Bernhard co-founded ShareTheMeal in January 2014, leading to the app's global launch and raising 190 million meals for charity, receiving multiple awards. Prior roles also include Head of Business Innovation at the World Food Programme and Project Leader at The Boston Consulting Group, where Bernhard managed significant projects in business development and strategic initiatives. Bernhard holds multiple master's degrees from WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) and a CEMS Master in International Management from HEC Paris.
